The West Milford High School administration is proud to announce that Zoë Fuchs is the salutatorian for the class of 2025!
Fuchs plans to continue her academic career at the John Jay College of Crim-inal Justice in New York to study forensic psychology.
She would like to focus on research that can help criminals gain a better understanding of their men-tal health and why their potential disorders caused them to be in the positions they are in.
While she is excited to start her new chapter in the Big Apple and is looking forward to meeting new peo-ple, but she is also understandably nervous of the unknown.
Fuchs had a very active four years at West Milford High School and within the larger community.
She was an athlete for the field hockey team her freshman and sophomore years, is part of the West Milford Women’s Equality and Empowerment Club and is on the Onyx yearbook staff as sports editor.
With the WMWEE Fuchs helped to paint the bathrooms and took part in multiple bake sales.
Outside of school, she volunteers at Queen of Peace at their breakfast events.
When she is not vol-unteering, Fuchs can often be seen at the registers at ShopRite, where she has been working for the past two years.
During her time at WMHS favorite teachers included both Mr. and Mrs. Botsolas. Mrs Botsolas was a strong female figure for Fuchs, while Mr. Botsolas was the first teacher she opened up to.
Her biggest mentor has been Mr. Nikinas who was her biggest help during high school.
When describing her best experience during high school, Fuch’s couldn’t iden-tify one particular moment, but instead enjoyed growing as a person and feeling more comfortable with herself. Her advice to underclassmen is to invest in yourself and put in the work!
Some fun facts about our salutatorian are that her favorites shows are “Suits” and “How I Met Your Mother”, when picking up a book, she gravitates towards the fantasy genre as her favorite book is “6 Of Crows”. Her favorite ice cream flavors are cookie dough or coffee and her go-to Dunkin’ order is an iced latter with three blueberry and two pecan swirls. Her dream vacations are South Korea, Greece, and India and if she could have super-power it would be teleportation.
Congratulations again to our 2025 salutatorian, Zoë Fuchs!
Nothing but amazing wishes are sent her way for this upcoming new chapter in her life. Congrats to the entire Class of 2025!
