She is known for being one of the friendliest kids in the senior class, for thanking her teachers after every lesson, and for being a passionate and outspoken member of the vast number of clubs and activities to which she belongs. On top of that she also just happens to have the highest GPA in the Class of 2025, a highly impressive 4.5633, which makes her this year’s f Valedictorian!
When she is not running or planning multiple events, acting as liaision for the student body to the Board of Education, Megan Seidner enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
Seidner plans to continue her academic career at TCNJ where she will major in English Literature and Special education. She hopes one day to evolve her teaching career into an administrative position, potentially at the high school level.
Our Valedictorian is beyond excited for this new chapter of her life and is beyondexcited to grow more as a person with her new experiences. Let’s dive into Seidner’s years at West Milford High School.
Megan has been very involved within the High School as she is president of the Interact club and is a member of West Milford Women’s Equality and Empowerment Club, Heroes and Cool Kids, National Honor Society, and PALS.
While being an active and dedicated member of these clubs, Megan has helped organize and run many memorable events such as the Cinderella Project, The Journey for Julian Charity Volleyball tournament, the bathroom Renovation project, attending monthly WMEE meetings, creating bulletin boards, assisting with freshman class orientation,, visiting various elementary schools to speak to sutdents about serious topics such as drugs and bullying, and she spearheaded the NHS pickleball tournament fund-raiser in support of our custodian, Mr. Damian Fitzgerald and his daughter, Jessica.
As a result of all of her efforts, in the classroom and beyond, Seidner has received many scholarships alongside the 2025 Educational Council of Passaic County Scholarship.
Seidner has definitely made her mark on West Milford High School’s faculty and staff, and she will never be forgotten. In turn, Seidner has some precious memories from her ime here as well, including her favorite class, Mrs. Metcalf’s criminal justice class.
She loved Mrs. Metcalf’s mock trial as she said it was the most fun activity she has done in a class.
Outside of school, Seidner runs on Dunkin Donuts! Her go to order is a berry colada. She also loves to read, draw, sing and write. She is currently learning how to dance and garden. Seidner is a young woman of many talents!
If she isn’t getting a berry colada she can sometimes be found enjoying vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls or cotton candy ice cream.
Her dream travel destination is the Colosseum in Rome. Seidner loves the movie “The Book of Life” and she has major respect for the PBS show “Curious George”. I mean, who doesn’t love that silly monkey?
Seidner wants every underclassman to know not to be afraid of being judged or of asking questions. By taking risks like these, Seidner says she has learned so much about herself.
She would like to thank her loving parents and sister for their support, and she would like to thank all the dedicated teachers and staff of WMHS.
We know Megan Seidner has an bright future and commend her on all her accomplistments. Congrats, Class of 2025 Valedictorian, Megan Seidner!
