Dear Charlotte,
I can’t stand this dress code. It seems some staff members don’t have anything better to do than pull me aside and ask me to change. Why is that? Do you think it’s fair?
From,
Mackenzie
Dear Mackenzie,
Well I would like to agree with the school for once, but as usual I will not. The dress code is absurd – in reason. Now I can’t tell you why certain teachers are stricter than others, however I do agree that they should lay off. It’s not fair at all and it will never be. The dress code is enforced especially when the summer heat comes strong, why? It seems that the staff that does call people out on their attire doesn’t realize something important. It’s hot! It’s hotter than flames in school especially without air conditioning. Yet we the student body have the suffer through the heat without complaint.
Shopping is pretty hard as it is to make sure that we girls don’t look like tramps. So yeah we do make a conscious effort in what we wear to school. The staff needs to realize that it’s hard shopping for clothing that’s nice and is not too trampy or looks like we walked out of a funeral. It’s just hard and clothing is expensive enough as it is. We’re not going to waste our money on a separate wardrobe for school.
Now on the side of reason we do understand that some people push the dress code to lmits unknown. If breasts are out and booty is seen then sorry nobody wants to see that- it’s not the first time you’ve heard this honey.
It’s not fair because well why should we have to conform because guys can’t not look or want to keep it in their pants. Get bent dudes.
It’s hot out too okay? It’s blazing and a tank top won’t be the end of the world. As long as we’re not whorish then we should be fine. Shoulders are okay. Ankles are okay. Boobs and butt aren’t. The school needs to learn the difference between purposely trying to violate the dress code and actually just dressing normally, which includes shoulders.
Sincerely,
Charlotte.
