Junior Andrea Hilario will be honored on November 14, 15, and 16 by attending the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, DC. This meeting is an honor for students who want to become physicians or enter the medical sciences. She was nominated by Dr. Connie Mariano, former White House Physician based on her academic achievement and determination to go into the field of medicine.
This invitation only event was created to direct the top students in the country to stay motivated. During this meeting, Hilario and other accomplished students will listen to former Ivy League deans on what is expected in medical school, what the career is like daily, and witness stories told by patients who are living medical miracles. Technology and the future of medicine will be discussed.
This special Congress was created with the belief that potential doctors and medical scientists need to be informed fully about the field before they enter and it is too late to change their minds. This experience will teach all members the skills to take them to the doorstep of this vital career. The Congress was chartered as a nonpartisan, taxpaying institution to address medical crises to encourage future doctors and mentor these students who wish to devote their lives to service everyone as a doctor, medical scientist, medical technologist, and medical engineer.
