Summer is a great time for people to hang out with friends and have some much needed relaxing time, like swimming, tanning, and cookouts, but where exactly should you go to have a great summer experience and not regret wasting your money?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a popular place known for its famous and iconic landmarks, such as the Christ the Redeemer statue, has an abundance of fun summer activities. Rio de Janeiro gained even more popularity when Heela Yung invented the Sol de Janeiro perfume, body spray, and lotion, which was widely spread and loved by people on social media platforms, such as Tik Tok and Instagram. The perfume was obviously influenced by Rio de Janeiro, when Heela Yung was greatly inspired by the beautiful Brazilian beaches and beach culture during the time she lived there. Despite how beautiful and sunny Brazil looks on influencers’ Instagram stories and videos, the majority of the time, it isn’t a hot summer day in Rio de Janeiro. During July-September it usually averages around 67-78 degrees, which means it’s better to go there during February-December to get the true Brazilian summer experience.

A more expensive trip would be to Greenland. It’s famous for its Northern Lights since it’s protected from light pollution. According to the map it is the world’s largest island. It is 2.16 million square kilometers. Another reason for why it’s so popular is because of the polar bears, which unfortunately are in danger of becoming extinct. So don’t miss an opportunity to see polar bears and the Northern Lights!

A cultural but affordable trip would be an adventure to Costa Rica. As long as you don’t fly from December to April, it is relatively cheap and not a busy season. In Costa Rica there are a lot of tourist places, such as Tamarindo, which is a fun beach town with games, stores, and a beautiful, clean beach. It’s even more enjoyable when you go out at night because it’s turning into a party town.

A common vacation spot many people go to is Florida. It has many beaches and tourist places. Florida became popular because of Universal studios and Disney World, both of which are always packed, so make sure to check them out before tickets run out! If you really want to try out new things you could visit “Discovery Cove”, which allows you to see flamingos and even swim with fishes and dolphins!

Some fun things you could do with your friends are go to the pool, beach, or create a summer bucket list. If you feel crafty you could create a summer album! Summer is in two months; no more worrying about homework or tests! Make sure to tan, travel, and hang out before school is back in session this September!
