The cheer team wasn’t so cheery at the beginning of the season when they realized that Ms. Tripodi could no longer coach the team after taking her new position as Assistant Principal here at WMHS, but they adjusted to her replacement early in the season.
However, things were just not meant to be with that coach either, and the team struggled with finding their stride and meshing for the season. That is, until Coach Biesiada stepped in.
Coach B revived their spirits, and brought out the best in the team.
One senior captain Mackenna Bush said, “This season wasn’t what we planned, but we stuck together and made the best of it.”
The ladies proved their grit and perseverance, surmounting the obstacles of and coming out victorious for the second year in a row. They won a first place award against Lakeland and then the Grand Champions banner against Lakeland and Waldwick.
