In recent weeks, America has suffered four plane crashes that have taken place, spurring conspiracy theories and in some cases even complete hysteria. Since the devastating crash in Washington DC there have been other tragic crashes that have left American citizens uneasy. Here is what you need to know about recent devastating events.
January 29, 2025 American Airlines regional jet and US Army Black Hawk collided into each other in the Washington DC area, leaving all passengers on both aircrafts dead. This has been the first deadliest plane crash since 2001.
Of the 60 people, 46 have been found they are still searching for the other 14 victims.
Twenty-eight victims were figure skaters coming home from a training camp.
It was reported that the Black Hawk was doing routine training for “continuity government training”.
As they were taking off they collided into the American Airlines flight that was landing.
Citizens have been somber and sympathies are extended to all the victim’s families.
A second crash occurred In northeast Philadelphia when a medical transport plane crashed in front of Roosevelt Mall on January 31.
All six passengers passed away, as did a citizen
who was in his car at the time of the crash.
The plane was transporting pediatric patient and her family back to Mexico after receiving treatment for her illness.
The plane took off at 6:06 pm and wasn’t even in the air for a minute before rapidly descending.
Four homes were destroyed while six others were severely damaged and all 366 properties in the area were compromised in one way or another.
The crash was so forceful that a crater was made into the ground as everything compacted upon impact.
The nation’s thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.
Then, on Thursday, February 6, flight 445 crashed into the sea ice 34 miles southeast of Nome Alaska.
The plane was not found until the next day, and is on a floating mass of ice, making recovery efforts all the more difficult. All nine passengers and the plane’s pilot were killed.
Two passengers worked for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and were trying to restore the heat
recovery system for the water plant (www.kron4.com).
The aircraft disappeared while flying at around 3:20 pm and was reported over due at 4:30 pm.
The radar showed that around 3:18 pm the plane experienced a rapid loss of elevation.
Then Monday, February 10, Motley Crue’s lead singer Vince Neil’s private jet was involved in a crash in Scottsdale, Arizona. The crash took place on Runway 21. The landing gear on the plane failed, causing the
plane to lose control while landing and crash into another jet.
One person was killed; three others were injured. One person was trapped in the jet and was rescued by firefighters. That victim remains in the hospital in critical condition. The singer was not in the jet at the time of the incident. The crash is still being investigated by the transportation safety board.
The crashes have shaken American citizens; they are saddened and distraught, and their confidence in the airlines at the moment. The victims of these plane crashes and their families are in our thoughts and prayers.
