As this year is coming to an end, so is the “Eras” Tour. Nothing could have prepared the Swifties for what they would feel when December 8 came.
This tour made an impact worldwide, creating unforgettable memories for fans like a full surprise album to unique friendship bracelets. Taylor Swift did it all on this tour.
After 12 million fans, 51 cities, 152 shows and 56 stadiums, it’s crazy to know that this two year tour has come to a close.
With Swift not being on tour since 2018 and her having to cancel the “Lovers” Tour due to the pandemic; it was a thrilling moment when Taylor announced she was going on tour again.
During the beginning of it all in 2023, no one knew what was going to happen on this tour as everything was a new unfolding experience. Fans expected surprises, but no one could have guessed the creativity behind the reveals. or the sheer number of them that there would be.
The “Eras” Tour began in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17, 2023. Each show ran for about three and a half hours, comprising 44-46 songs (including surprise songs).
There were ten different segments of the show that incorporated each “musical era” in Taylor’s career (Fearless, Speak now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, & The Tortured Poets Department).
The sections were categorized by different colors, and songs were distinguished by their albums.
Transitions between the sections were marked
by an astounding 16 costume changes and on- screen visuals, backgrounds, etc.
As heartbreaking as it is that this tour is ending, the future for Swifties is not over yet. Taylor has made it very clear that she is not done with touring for new albums in the future.
Swift has been non-stop surprising her fans with everything she has done and she is not done shocking us yet–it never gets old. Stay tuned for more from her!
