The West Milford gymnastics team is climbing the mountain to success! The girls have scored higher and higher every meet hoping to continue reaching and exceeding their goals in upcoming meets. Let’s recap the beginning of the 2024 – 2025 West Milford gymnastic season!
The team had its first meet against Wayne Valley scoring a team score of 85.725. Freshman Rebecca Montena placed third all around while sophomore Madeline Park placed second all around and third on bars. Junior Lucy Kelly would place third on beam and senior Shannon Dalcais would place second on floor. Next the girls would travel to Ramapo High School scoring a team score of 89.025. Madeline Park shined in this meet, placing third in the all around and second on beam.
The most recent meet the team took part in was a dual at home meet against both The Academy of Holy Angels and Randolph High School, and the team came in hot with a team score of 90.975! The team worked beautifully together to earn their highest team score ever at this meet. Against Holy Angels, Madeline Park would be third all around, first on vault and second on beam, junior Michaela Gerst would be third on vault, Lucy Kelly would be third on beam and senior Stephanie McManus would be third on floor. As for Randolph, Madeline Park would be the only girl for the West Milford team to place, earning first on vault. Way to go, Madeline!
