Valentine’s Day is coming up quickly, and it’s commonly known that creative date ideas for your partner are hard to come by. Luckily for you, here are some date ideas that will surely make you and your partner happy!
For all of us home-bodies, or those who don’t want to put up with prices or people, I recommend movies on the couch! You can snuggle close to your favorite person, wrap each other in blankets and watch films that you both enjoy! Or on the flip side, have a laugh making fun of movies! The comfort of laying in your loved ones arms is like no other, and sharing snacks with them is always so sweet! In the beginning of the day, if you live together, you could wake up your partner with breakfast in bed: Heart shaped pancakes/waffles, french-toast with fruit, or whatever else you know they like.
Speaking of snacks, what if you baked together? Cookies, muffins, cake, or whatever other delicious treats you could come up with. Spending time with them and working as a team to create something feels so good, and tastes delicious! If you aren’t into sweets, then cooking your own candle lit dinner would be fun, too. Staying at home is one of my favorite things to do when it comes to hanging out with loved ones, so if your partner is anything like me, they’ll surely love a cozy home date!
On the other hand, you can take them to a museum full of their interests. Let yourselves indulge in your favorite activities, learn new facts and buy a cute souvenir at the gift shop! You could even go stargazing in a planetarium or actually outside; laying under the night sky, holding hands and resting in peaceful silence together. Or take them to an art museum, if they aren’t so into space. Ask them about their favorite paintings and artists or their favorite medium, if they create.
Or for some cute fun, take a trip to the Build-a-Bear Shop! Sure it may be a little childish at first, but it’s sweet to match with your partner or whoever you decide to spend your Valentine’s Day with! The stuffed animals would serve as a pleasant reminder how your friend or significant other loves you and how you love them. Besides, who wouldn’t want to customize their own cuddly friend? They’re all so cute, too!
If you both enjoy a good song, you could bring each other to karaoke and rock out together! Afterwards, you could get a nice dinner and drinks for each other to relax and fuel back up for another round of vocals. I’ve personally never been to karaoke, but I can only imagine how fun it would be, especially with my friends or s/o.
If singing isn’t your thing, how about ice or roller skating? Most skating rinks include music so it won’t be a dull moment. Furthermore, if one of you doesn’t know how to skate, it would be fun to try and learn with your partner or hold hands as you slide along.
My favorite date idea would be staying home, watching movies, eating baked goods we made or going out to an arcade or festival, but surely there are plenty of more, and better, ideas out there to participate in with your loved one. Hopefully some of these sparked your interest! As long as you and your person of choice are happy on this magnificent day, that’s all that matters. Happy Valentine’s Day!
