SuperBowl LV was an upsetting loss for the Kansas City Chiefs, but an exciting win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Going into this game there were many questions—will Brady win his seventh ring? Will Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs go back to back with SuperBowl wins? There was so much build up to this game, but it was an ending that might have made people upset if they were sick and tired of seeing the same person win the Superbowl every year.  Tom Brady won his seventh SuperBowl, making him the only QB in NFL history to win seven SuperBowls and to have more wins than any other organization in the Super Bowl.

There was already so much tension between the two QBs from when the two faced off in the AFC Championship two years ago, which Brady and the Patriots ended up winning. Then this season the two faced off in a week 12 matchup where the Chiefs came out on top 27-24,so it was a revenge match for both.

The game overall looked sloppy for the Chiefs with them only scoring 9 total points.  This was a total surprise because the Chiefs had one of the top scoring offenses in the league. With a young star quarterback in Patrick Mahomes,a star speedy receiver in Tyreek Hill, a top three (if not THE best) tight end in the league in Travis Kelce,  along with a pretty decent defense with multiple stars like Tyrann Mathieu and Chris Jones, people were expecting victory. With the Chiefs going 14-2 on the season, only really losing to the Raiders, the second loss was the last game before playoffs, so no starters were in during the game.

The Buccaneers have a lot of talent with arguably the greatest football player of all time, Tom Brady. They have a very talented running back core and receiver core with people such as Mike Evans, Leonard Fourneatte, Chris Godwin with many other up-and-coming players. The Buccaneers offense put up 31 on this super team, and the defense put up one of their best games ever to stop Mahomes from throwing the ball deep and to stop Mahomes from, well, being Mahomes and making these mind boggling plays.

Overall it was a surprising game that ended in a way that most people didn’t expect. Most people expected a high stakes game where both offenses showed their best and thought it would be a battle of whose defense can hold out longer and secure the win. But, in the end, it was a heartbreaker for the Chiefs, with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers winning, giving the Buccaneers their second SuperBowl ring, and the GOAT winning another ring of his own.
