Wright Family Farms is open Sunday through Saturday 12pm-6pm on weekdays and 10am-7pm on weekends. Season passes are $25.00 per person, though Groupons are often offered.
The barnyard and corn maze are a separate fee. On Friday nights, the Wright Family Farm hosts Flashlight Nights, where visitors bring flashlights into the corn maze, hopefully to find their way out. Delicious fall treats such as apple crisps and pumpkin pies are sold at the farm stand, located near the entrance/exit.
Wright Family Farm has many amenities people of all ages can enjoy. Families can go on a complimentary hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin to carve a jack-o-lantern. Younger kids will enjoy the Barnyard, an area that has rubber duck races, animal feedings, pedal carts, goat walks, a cow train ride through the meadow, and a cornbox in which they can play. A separate fee allows for children to take pony rides with an instructor. Older kids and teenagers enjoy the corn maze which people spend hours trying to escape. In order to master the corn maze, people must answer themed trivia questions to make the correct turns.
My visits to Wright Family Farms hold some of my favorite autumn memories,and my family looks forward to returning every October. The first activity is to head to the barnyard where baby goats are fed at 10:00am. Then my family takes a twenty minute ride on the cow train where the cows venture through the hills of Wright Family Farm. The picnic tables located near the entrance make the perfect spot for lunch. The last and favorite stop of families is to the corn maze, where they test their knowledge, patience, and navigational abilities.. Wright Family Farms is an amazing place and is a preferred destination compared to Pennings and Warwick Valley Winery because there are more activities to do. This hidden gem is a New York state favorite. Wright Family Farms is on the top of the list of places for a family to spend a beautiful autumn day.
