West Milford Ice Hockey team ties up Ramapo

Earlier in the season, the West Milford Highlander Hockey Team lost to Ramapo with a score of 3-2.
After an emotional and intense rematch, the team was able to achieve a tie. Ramapo struck first by scoring within the first four minutes of the game.
Later in the first period, Chris Dressler scored the first goal for West Milford and was assisted by Alex Crevina, ending the period with a 1-1 tie. As the number of shots on goal increased during the second period, another goal was scored by Chris Dressler and was assisted by Dylan Dinzik.
The period ended with West Milford in a one point lead. Four minutes into the third period, Chris Dressler scored once more with an assist by Brandon Little. Within the last six minutes of the game, Ramapo was able to tie West Milford. Unlike most hockey games, there was a roster violation. According to Coach Frey, Ramapo let two Junior Varsity players participate in the game and did not put their names or numbers on the roster.
After the game, Coach Frey mentioned ways to help improve the team for upcoming games later this season. He said that the season was off to a funky start, but with classroom sessions and hard core ice practices, the team could learn to out-work their opponents and produce more scoring opportunities.
If any students would like to support the program, there is an upcoming calendar raffle and the traveling stick fundraiser. There is also a June golf outing.
