Seniors walk the red carpet at Senior Choice Awards

The Oscars of high school, better known as The Senior Choice Awards, were hosted on December 4 by Emily Perry and Austin Hopler. Perry, winner of the Most School Spirited Female, Most Likely to Make a Difference Female, and Most Social Female, and Hopler, winner of Most Athletic Male and Best Friends Male were excellent hosts, clearly having a ball up on stage keeping the audience laughing and cheering the whole night long. Everyone attending was dressed to the nines, excited to be there that night presenting awards, performing in between, or being a nominee in the twenty-eight categories.
To break up the presentation of the awards, several talented students performed for the audience. Tim Wong showed off his beat boxing skills, Megan Johnson beautifully sang “Battlefield”, Bobby Campbell performed an original piece on his guitar inspired by the recent terrorist attack on Paris. Mia Healy sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love” while junior Jack McGraw accompanied her on the ukulele. Alexis Silverman sang while performing “21 Guns” on the piano, and she was also the student who arranged the impressive original piece performed by Felix Gonzales, Sarah Shoenfield, Bobby Campbell, Stephen Shahim, Becca Kronyak, and herself. The student band called “Just the Tip” performed one of their songs, and performers included Bobby Campbell, Connor Guarino, Phil Akre, and Stephen Shahim!
