September 26 – Somerset Bears v. Lehigh Valley Steelers

Before their competition season begins this fall, the talented West Milford Varsity Dance Team had the opportunity to perform alongside the Bearfoot Dancers during the semi-pro football game Somerset Bears versus the Lehigh Valley Steelers.
The night of September 26 was frigid, but it didn’t stop the dedicated dancers. They performed during the halftime show and cheered during the game with creative choreography for certain plays. They brought the spirit needed to keep the freezing cold crowd alive. And their hard work cheering paid off as the Bears beat the Steelers 49 – 16, with some very impressive touchdowns scored that night.
While the team is small, they sure bring the energy and presence on the sidelines of the field. The Varsity team also performed with the middle school and elementary school teams, and West Milford was well represented that night.
