Ke$ha Rose Serbert, or just Ke$ha, is a well-known singer among teenagers today. Her first single, “Tik Tok,” was very successful and caught the attention of many people. Recently, she has had legal problems with Dr. Luke, a famous song writer and producer.
Allegations of sexual, physical, and verbal abuse were filed against Dr. Luke in the beginning of the month. Ke$ha is claiming that the producer raped her after he allegedly drugged her at a party they attended. In her complaint, she states that he referred to her as a “fat refrigerator” because he apparently wanted to “make her feel completely worthless and maintain complete control of her life.” As of now these allegations are not verified.
According to the singer, the abuse started when she admitted to having eating disorders. The now 27 year old singer claims that his abuse caused her disorder to get much worse, almost causing her weight to drop so low that she almost died. Dr. Luke’s lawyer thinks that this lawsuit is “a spectacular and outrageous fiction that will go down in flames,” but if the accusations turn out to be true, it will be Dr. Luke that will have a ruined reputation.
Ke$ha’s lawyer responded to that claim by saying “The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Ke$ha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time.” She has not had any new song releases recently because of the claims, but hopefully once this is over she will create more catchy songs like “Blow,” “Crazy Kids,” and “Your Love is My Drug.”
