Many people are flocking to Sochi and places around Sochi to watch the Olympics. As athletes, journalists and reporters are coming into Russia there has been a lot of tweeting about disgusting hotel rooms and their horrific experiences. First, some hotel rooms are under construction, causing people to move to other rooms, and yet those rooms are still not finished.

Hotel rooms that were booked months in advance are not available. There are problems with the hotel rooms themselves; many people don’t have clean water in their rooms or the water comes out in a yellowish color.

You’re lucky even if you have water. If you do have water, it’s probably not hot. The bathroom has been a problematic place, people have been seeing strange “Don’t Do’s” of how to use the toilet in the bathroom. There have been pictures of people fishing in the toilet and puking in the toilet is also a no no.

You can’t flush paper down the toilet you would have to put it in a bin, or you might be one of the lucky ones to be locked in the bathroom or to get to use the “twin toilets.”  Russia has spent 51 billion dollars on the Olympics itself, but didn’t but enough time and effort into the hotels. Hopefully the games are better than the accomodations.
