Highlanders all though the school were are sad to see one of the veteran English teachers, Mrs. Terry Dwyer, retire before winter break. When you walked down the halls you would always hear, “Hi, Mrs. Dwyer!” or “How you doing Mrs. Dwyer?” She was loved by many students. Mrs. Dwyer taught English at West Milford High School for 30 years seeing many students come and go through her classroom door. Mrs. Dwyer always had a fun and young-hearted classroom environment, but students still always knew they had to get work done. Mrs. Dwyer put her in enthusiasm in the work the students to had to in an effort to make English class less of a chore. Being at West Milford High School for so long Mrs. Dwyer had a pleasant way with students in all grades. Mrs. Dwyer will be missed and remembered fondly. The faculty staff and students all wish Mrs. Dwyer a happy and healthy retirement. Hopefully she will enjoy her time with her husband and her children, and her books by the pool. Mrs. Dwyer shoes will be tough to fill but when one teacher leaves there will be another one to follow. Mrs. Dwyer’s replacement is Mrs. Deana Salle, a veteran teacher coming to us from a Charter school in Paterson. May she feel welcome here in her new home. Stop by and say hello!
