As the West Milford High School student body knows, the homecoming dance was replaced by a homecoming tailgate barbeque. The West Milford High School Newspaper staff asked a few random students on their thoughts on the subject.
Jenna Petrosine: “ I feel very strongly opinionated with this situation. I feel that homecoming is an important part of high school tradition and is a great experience for the students. The students should have a homecoming dance instead of a tailgate.”
Nick Vega: “The homecoming dance sounds more exciting than a tailgate.”
Beth Nix (not pictured): “I think we should have a homecoming dance not a tailgate because a homecoming is more classy and more like a prom and more memories.”
Mariah Kaminskyj: “I feel like a tailgate thing would be awesome. There would probably be a bigger turn out, too.”
Marc Gigliuto: “I feel that homecoming being cancelled is not right. Many people look forward to this event. They also buy dresses and in some cases even buy tuxes. This is a treasured experience for all high school students.”
Fabio Estupinan: “I couldn’t really care less because I wasn’t going to go to homecoming, so I guess you can say it was somewhat better because it’s for everyone. WOLFGANG!!!”
