West Milford High School’s annual Distinguished Scholar Recognition Night was held on May 20, 2013 at 7:00 pm. On this night, the top 60 students in West Milford High are recognized for the hard work they have put into the school career. It is also a night where seniors who have done outstanding in certain subjects can be awarded for their efforts.

The night was filled with heartfelt speeches made by Principal Gorski, teachers, and various staff members. The speakers congratulated the students on their hard work and dedication to their studies. The students were also praised for their ability to balance sports and extra-curricular as they tackled their academic goals.

The night ended with the long awaited announcement as to who this year’s graduating salutatorian and valedictorian were to be. Congratulations to Gianna Galioto and Melissa Townsend, the two students who were declared salutatorian and valedictorian!
