On June 25, 2013, the seniors of West Milford High School will finally be graduating. The graduation will take place on the turf field at 6:45 pm on the 25. Unless it rains, graduation will take place in the gymnasium. Many seniors have said this year flew by and can’t believe their graduation day is here.
Two days before the graduation, the students have graduation practice. They practice lining up in alphabetical order, boys on one side and girls on the other. Then comes the day of graduation. Senior students had the opportunity to write a speech that will be read aloud at the ceremony. The speech is a final goodbye and overall about graduating and moving on with their lives. The students were to submit an essay and out of any that were submitted, one will be chosen to be read at the graduation ceremony.
Graduation and project graduation are the last time the senior class of 2013 will be together as a whole. It is weird to think after all this time; it’s finally time to say goodbyes. From 7th grade Fairview trip, to the last few weeks of high school. It makes you realize how fast time truly goes and how you should enjoy your time here because it’s over before you know it.
Senior Lia Heusser says “Enjoy every moment of high school and make the best out of it, before you know it, it’s the countdown to graduation and you’ll never see any of these people ever again.” Another senior, Pamela Vanness said “Make the best out of your senior year and spend as much time with your friends as possible because after graduation, everything will change and everyone moves on.” Graduation is a big step for seniors and good luck to the graduating class of 2013.”
