March 20, 2013 was a night full of great entertainment as the West Milford High School’s Choir performed in their annual Jazz Concert. This year’s special guest artist was none other than the famous harmonica player and singer Rob Paparozzi, as well as Matt King, the well-known jazz pianist.
The school’s chamber singers, concert choir, master singers, and women’s choir performed under the direction of Mr. Heyburn, the school’s chorus teacher. The different groups had practiced for months on their songs. All of their hard work and dedication paid off in the end; the groups gave top-notch performances.
For the small entrance fee of $7, audience members got to listen to some great tunes and were in for a treat after the performance. Members of the choirs brought in refreshments for after the concert. Audience members were invited up to the school’s café to enjoy a variety of goodies, such as brownies, cupcakes, and coffee as well as being given the opportunity to meet Rob Paparozzi and buy some of his CDs.
Great job to West Milford High School’s Choir Department!
