Pitch Perfect, an amusing comedy, written by Mickey Rapkin and Kay Cannon and directed by Jason Moore, was comical and had the audience hooked the whole time. It was a pleasant twist on the traditional a cappella group story line.
Beca, a freshman at Bardon University is lured into joining The Bella’s, the campus’ all-girl a cappella group. Needing fresh ideas for their boring repertoire, Beca is exactly what the group needs. Soon, the a cappella group has to prepare to enter a signing competition with the infamous all-boy a cappella group on campus. While The Bella’s are the underdog in the competition it is extremely entertaining to watch them grow throughout the movie. Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Rebel Wilson, and Alexis Knapp played the witty, diverse members of the singing group.
Pitch Perfect not only had a fresh, upbeat playlist of songs, but irresistible humor that had the audience laughing throughout. The combination of competition, love and uniqueness provided not only for the audience to be thoroughly amused, but it also allowed viewers to become attached to the characters. Overall, Pitch Perfect was hilarious and a must-see for all teens.
