Highlander Day! A time of talking with friends, seeing what the school has to offer, and, of course, getting out of our dreary classes for a entire two hours. It is always a favorite among students. This year, it may have been a tad rainy, but nevertheless it was as enjoyable as ever with fun tents, fun activities, and the anticipated competitive battle on the volleyball court to see who would rein supreme and be crowned champion.
What struck many of us as pure entertainment was the water balloon class room. Watching your class mates struck with water balloons is both hysterical and enjoyable. It may have been cold, but students and staff stuck it out, happy and soaking wet. The food and beverages were delicious and very affordable. There was something to be found for everyone, even for those of us with only a dollar in our pockets. The music was great and the dancing was fun. Seeing all of the sports teams and clubs participating set our school spirit in gear. Highlander pride was definitely not lacking on this day.
