As the clichéd quote goes, “It is that time of year again.” High school graduation has arrived at West Milford High School yet again, and for the class of 2012, it has been quite a year. Prom was an overwhelming success, as well as the Relay for Life that took place this past weekend. Sports teams were strong and club members deicated. Old traditions have been revived and new ones begun. The foundation for a better school has been laid out by the hard-working Student Council of 2012. Homecoming, pep rallies, tailgating, music between periods, and many more things have come alive again in our school. Without a doubt that the crowning achievement of all will be the graduation of the Class of 2012.
For four years the seniors have worked vigorously towards their diploma and, more importantly, their future. HSPA’s, SAT’s, tests, quizzes, and projects galore have been put in their path and they have plowed through them all, while remaining involved and making a difference. Now, all that is left is that ceremonial step into the future. Whether they are joining the armed forces, attending technical school or college, entering the workforce, or tending to whatever else they have planned or unplanned, it is safe to say that these students will live their lives to the fullest. That is the mark they have left on West Milford High School and the challenge they leave for the students who follow.
Seniors, remember Carpe Diem. This is your time to shine beyond the halls of WMTHS. Do not let anyone else tell you otherwise. Good luck with everything ahead of you.
Congratulations Class of 2012!
