On October 13th, the school held it’s first Homecoming Dance for the past three years. Unlike the previous Homecoming, there was a good sized crowd of over 100 teens. It was obvious in the atmosphere that everyone around was having a great time thanks to the efforts put together by the teacher advisors and Student Council, as well as the classes that worked diligently on the decorations that covered the walls.
There was food and drink available from 6 to 9 pm while a DJ played the most popular selection of music as well as a few Indie selections. One star dancer, who stole the spot light from everyone, was Alex Goletz. Sporting a Highlander kilt, he and his friends clearly had a great time as they danced all night. The entire crowd was drawn into the fun as a dance circle appeared and was followed by a conga line that could have stretched from wall to wall in the cafeteria!
At the end of the night, the homecoming King and Queen was announced for each grade level.
The Senior Homecoming King and Queen:
King Joe Barry and Queen Alexa Morgan
Junior Homecoming King and Queen:
King Matt Biondello and Queen Rachel Damelio
Sophomore King and Queen:
King TJ Dionisio and Queen
Freshman King and Queen:
King Graham Goldberg and Queen Sam Mantione
A big thanks goes out to the Student Council, classes and teachers who put so much work into making the Homecoming Dance a truly great night. For everyone who did not attend this year, keep a look out next year, it is surely going to just keep getting better!
