Highlander Band supports NJ Devils

Our Highlander Band is the embodiment of achievement at our high school. They always accomplish feats of which most other high schools never even dream. The New Jersey Devils, our state hockey team, invited our Highlander Band to perform at the game against the Maple Leafs on November 23.
The band dressed in red and black to perform music to support our state’s hockey team. Students then gathered together to play a variety of different tunes such as “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Any Way You Want It”, and the “Hawaii Five-O Theme” in the lobby for a crowd of hockey fans.
After performing, the band was able to enjoy the game, cheer on the Devils, and enjoy the fun and games in the party zone of the stadium. The students and their directors played games such as air hockey, foosball, or ping pong. When they didn’t feel like playing, they could sit back in comfortable leather seats and watch the game on the tv screen. Band members still had access to normal seats to see the game on the ice if they wished.
To make the night even better, the Devils took a sweet victory of 5-4 in overtime. The staff, students and team all had a fantastic time watching our state’s team claim a sweet victory!
