This April we had one of our first in school assemblies – a preview of the first annual West Milford High School Film festival. The festival is being put together to show off the works created by our TV Science classes. The Festival is being held on May 29th at the High School, for 5$ per ticket. Show your Highlander Pride and come on out to see the results of the hard work put in by your classmates.
The assembly previewed some of the full films that will be shown at the festival. The preview included entirely student made PSA’s, Infomercials, Documentaries, Music Videos, and Short Films. The assembly opened with a music video of the song “Shake it Off”, followed by two documentaries, one of the Track Team, another on the creation of a school mural. There were several short films previewed as well, a short film music video set to Childish Gambino’s song “3005,” a short film called “One with Wifi,” and another titled “Janitorial Secret Service.” A series of other clips from movies to be shown in full at the festival were also previewed, as well as PSA’s on drunk driving and drinking, and fake infomercials focusing on products the students had made up. The preview closed with a shocking film of people doing reckless things, like hanging off of tall towers, being dragged around parking lots in couches attached to moving cars, and diving into ice covered water.
The film festival will be held at West Milford High School at 7pm, May 5th, so stop by to support the Highlander filmmakers and see a wonderful show.
